Tamil Nadu Voter ID Card Correction Check Status Online

Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu (TN) has released the notification of Voter ID Card Correction online. You can now apply for name change, address change / update by filling form 8 / 8A online. The existing details should be supported by address proof and identity proof which needs to be corrected. The correction application form can be filled online at NVSP portal or CEO TN website to send details officially. Please check status of your correction application request online in Tamil Nadu Voter list 2023-2023 latest by ECI. All communications regarding verification and status check can be done directly by following the below details.

After enrollment of Voter ID card, users are requested to verify all the details when they receive the card after registration process. In some cases, there might be some discrepancy in the Voter list 2023 updated which shows wrong address / name / polling details.

You can always place correction request to ECI for making changes in your name or address or electoral roll constituency.

There are two forms usually used to place correction / constituency transfer request online:

How To Fill Form 8 To Place Correction Request Of Name And Address

If you are willing to fill the form online, you can do so by visiting NVSP portal and selecting your details. You can manually download the application correction form and send it to your nearest BLO for initiating the request as early as possible.

First you will need to download Form 8 from here: Voter ID card Correction Form Download online

Take a print out of the form, and start filling the details such as follows:

– Provide your full corrected name (First name and last name)
– Provide current address of your’s / Corrected address
– Part number of your electoral roll
– Serial number of your part number
– Date of Birth and Father’s / Mother’s name

Provide your signature or thumb impression at the end with your mobile number. If updates are to be send, it will be sent to your mobile number or email address.

You will also see an option to check list which portion of your election card / Voter ID card needs to be corrected: Name / Address / Age / Father’s name or Mother’s name or Husband’s name / Sex / Elector’s photo identity card number.

How To Fill Form 8A To Place Assembly Constituency Change Request

In this form, you will need to mention which constituency part number and serial number of the part you are residing with valid address proof of the same. Provide your original details like Name, Address and Voter ID card number / EPIC number.

You will also see an option to provide old details of your Voter list name inclusion. Mention those appropriately and sent it over to your original Booth level officer to process the request as early as possible.

It might take some time for generate the new Voter ID card with corrected details, but you will receive it latest within 3 months of time.

You are requested to check status of your application on a regular basis to not miss out any update. After correction, your name will be put on official Voter list revision once again by CEO of the state.

Status Check Of Tamil Nadu Voter List 2023-24 New Correction Update After Submitting Details

After filling up the application form for correction, and then submitting them online to be reviewed by the respective Booth Level Officer (BLO) of the respective assembly constituency, the status track of the EPIC card is maintained in timeline to be corrected as per documents submitted.

Generally the timeline for correction is estimated to be around 90 days since these submissions are thoroughly reviewed and then approved online. Post 90 days, you can then enter your name and address details which you have stated in the online application form.

The data whether the changes have been performed ot not shows up as updated Tamil Nadu Voter list 2023 data for each constituency. In this way, there is a proper way of establishing the corrections as needed and the time to getting them approved is based upon the approval of Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu state.
